Edinburgh is an incredible city to explore and live in, a city steeped in history and character, with stunning architecture and home to the biggest arts festival in the world. Previously a separate town, Leith became part of Edinburgh in 1920- but still retains a separate identity which a unique character. Its packed with trendy waterfront restaurants and bars, perfect for enjoying a few drinks in the sunshine. Still, there are areas in the city that should be avoided if looking for a place to settle in Scotland.
